Process

Eight clear stages, from your first message through launch to optional ongoing care. An estimated schedule is shared after your project has been reviewed.

An HMTZ Lab concept of a project tracker in a browser window and on a phone: eight connected stages from inquiry to optional care, with the build stage in progress, a task checklist, and signed proposal and design approvals.
Each stage is reviewed with you before the next begins. An HMTZ Lab concept with a sample project.

A structured path, agreed in writing

Every project follows the same stages, whether it is a focused business website or a system that runs daily operations. You always know what happens next and what has been agreed.

No fixed durations are published, because the right schedule depends on scope. It is estimated in your proposal after the project review.

From first message
to launch

The same eight stages for every project. The eighth, ongoing care and support after launch, is optional.

  1. Inquiry

You share your goals, the kind of project, and any timing through the Start a Project form. HMTZ Tech replies by email.

  2. Discovery conversation

A conversation to understand your organization, audience, workflows, and constraints, and to confirm whether the project is a good fit.

  3. Proposal and quote

A written proposal with scope, deliverables, price, and an estimated schedule based on the review of your project.

  4. Design

Structure and key screens or pages are designed and reviewed with you, within the agreed revision rounds.

  5. Build

The agreed scope is built with regular check-ins, so there are no surprises at the end.

  6. Review and testing

Testing across devices, browsers, and accessibility basics, plus your review of the finished work before launch.

  7. Launch

Going live on your domain and hosting, with the final checks completed.

  8. Optional care and support

Optional monthly care for websites, or support quoted per project for custom software.
